1.
After the Court rose the Acting Puisne Judge sent for the
Registrar who came into the Chambers of the Puisne Judge.
ૐ. Upon entering the Registrer said:- "I hope that you do not
"take exception to what is written in that minute" or words to
a like effect.
3.
The Acting Puisne Judge said sharply:- "That is the very
"thing about which I wish to see you. What is your authority for
"the statement that my action in endorsing the subpoena was ir-
"regular ?".
4. The Registrar replied: "I have no authority: it is my own
"opinion because I have never known the process of the Court to
"be thus endorsed", or words to a lixe effect.
The Acting Fuisne Judge said more sharply than before:-
"That is no authority. I must have a recognised authority for
"your statement, and shall minute this paper back to you to
"state your authority".
6.
Thereupon the Registrar said:- "This is not a matter to
"lose your temper over" or words to a like effect.
7. The Acting Puisne Judge then said:- "I have not lost my
"temper, and do not intend to be addressed by you in such langu-
"age".
Thereupon the Acting Puisne Judge ordered the Registrar to
leave the Puisne Judge's Chambers, and the Registrar left.
